Walking into a spa for the first time can feel a little uncertain if you don’t know what to expect. Generally, you’ll be welcomed at reception and asked a few short questions about what you’re hoping to get from the session — areas of tension, pressure preference, any health considerations.
From there, you’ll be shown to a private treatment room and given a moment to get comfortable before your therapist begins. Throughout the session, it’s completely normal to ask your therapist to adjust the pressure, and most places are happy to answer any questions along the way. A good first visit should leave you feeling more at ease about the next one.
